Getting Paid
A little background information for you
Your Fitzroy consultant will be responsible for negotiating your remuneration package.  Although we’ve provided a guide to daily rates, at this level of marketing recruitment it very much depends on who needs you and what they need you to do – each marketing project is different and subsequently, so are the rewards for doing it.  Some contracts will include success fees or other results-dependent bonuses.

As an executive marketer recruited through Fitzroy, how you are paid is completely up to you.  However, if you are considering going down the limited company route, it’s worth taking a look at the rules under IR35 on http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ir35/

If you are considering setting up as self-employed, again, it’s worth examining some of the guidelines set out on: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/startingup/register.htm

There are potential liabilities for our clients paying you through the self-employed route if the HMRC deem the employment to be the same as if you were a PAYE employee. You should be aware of this before you embark on full registration.

The final method of payment is PAYE. If this is our client's preferred method of payment, we'll tell you at the outset. The one advantage of being paid via a payroll net of tax and NI is that you will be entitled to holiday pay - up to 28 days holiday per year which you accrue every day you work on your marketing assignments through Fitzroy.
